New Online Register for Construction Companies and Builders
In July 2014 The Irish Construction Federation together with the Minister for the Environment launched a new register for the Irish Construction Industry. The register is a data base of construction companies, sole traders and builders who follow industry regulations and standards.
The data base is now live with approx. 300 companies currently listed in October 2014 and many more in the application process who will be listed. It is expected that there will be more than 2,000 entries listed on the registry by the end of 2015. The register covers 39 categories of activity, from house building to extensions, plastering to carpentry and plumbing to electrical contracting.

New Online Register for Stolen Landscaping and Garden Equipment
In a move to combat an increasing rise in landscaping and garden equipment theft, http://arbtalk.co.uk/ and Stihl GB http://www.stihl.co.uk/ have launched an online register for stolen equipment. Its goal is to act as a deterrent to criminals and to assist in reuniting owners with their stolen equipment. So far there are 2019 site members, 425 registered equipment 54 theft reports and they have successfully recovered 1 stolen equipment.
New App from Husqvarna
Husqvarna recently came 3rd in the Swedish Design Awards for their Power Cutter User Guide App. The App was nominated in the EBook readers Device category. It helps users plan their job, work with machines in a safer and more efficient way and maintain the machines correctly. The App can be downloaded from IPad App Store or if you don’t have an IPad the information is available in PDF
