Tough and robust wood chippers for branches from ½” to 2" in diameter
Our petrol wood chippers are professional standard pieces of equipment, designed for chipping branches from ½” to 2" (50mm) in diameter. These units are high quality, robust and reliable heavy duty chippers that make quick work of your garden waste. It is a gravity fed machine, so the branches are just dropped into the feeder chute. The spinning blade reduces the cuttings to mulch and small chips - which can then be composted or disposed of easily.
Despite their heavy-duty capabilities, these garden shredders are also convenient and practical pieces of equipment. They have a compact profile for machines of their capabilities and the side chute can be disconnected to reduce the width of the machine during storage and transportation. They can also be tilted on to their wheels and moved around wherever they are needed.
For best results, allow two to three weeks after cutting down the branches to allow them enough time to dry out. Freshly cut, green branches will not shred. As a rule of thumb, if you can snap it, you can shred it. These chippers will not work on ivy, brambles, leaves, bamboo, stringy wirey garden material, you have to be able to snap the branches.
This shredder will fit into most hatchback cars but will not fit into a saloon type car.
