Turf Sod Cutter

Our Camon turf cutters are high quality, professional standard yet easy to use pieces of equipment, designed for removing strips of turf from gardens, parks, sites and other areas. These machines are ideal for use during gardening projects, construction projects, laying underground cables and pipes and installing artificial turf.

They have a slim and compact design, simple controls and adjustable anti-vibration handlebars for user comfort. To operate, simply start the engine and squeeze the two-step safety lever to engage the cutting blades. Then lower the blades into the turf using the lever at the rear of the machine. Engage the rear wheel drive using the gear lever and away you go. As you walk along with the machine, the blades cut through the top layer of turf, leaving 30cm wide strips that can be rolled up and removed from the ground with ease, without damaging the turf. This means that work can be carried out, such as the installation of pipes and cables, and then the same turf can be rolled back out over the ground to bed back in. This turf cutting machine therefore provides an extremely economical way of clearing turf, as it saves the expense of buying fresh turf at the end of the job.

They are professional standard pieces of equipment featuring a reliable Honda GX160 petrol engine, designed to be easy to start - so whether you are a professional contractor or DIY user, you can get to grips with it very quickly. The two-stage operating lever allows the operator to start using the machine quickly, but provides protection against accidently engaging the machine. The blade depth is adjustable using a simple turning wheel. The blades are manufactured from hardened steel, for efficient and effective cutting time after time. The adjustable anti-vibration handlebars can be folded down for easy storage and transportation to and from site. These turf cutting machines offer professional results with minimal effort. The petrol powered nature of these turf lifters gives them excellent cutting capabilities, without the restriction of power cables – so you have unlimited access to work anywhere.

The turf cutter can be used throughout the year, just make sure the ground is not frozen during the winter or too hard and dry in the summer.

With a weight at over 90kg, this machine can only be loaded and unloaded using ramps, which can be hired from us, and will only go into a trailer, van or jeep type car.
